It was my 2009 and 2008 resolution, probably my 2007...and actually, might as well throw 2006 in there too-- working out more of course! So, I have officially found a way to do it, and actually do it pretty regularly. Right now I'm walking on my treadmill...AS I TYPE!!! How cool is that? No, I'm not really sweating yet, I'll wait until I'm done typing and put on an episode of 30Rock to watch . My exercise hating husband who is super busy all the time, crafted a keyboard addition to our treadmill, along with a flat screen t.v. and computer, and voila....he can walk and play a video game, and I can walk and blog. I know what you are thinking, something along the lines of "girl, get outside and go for a run in the fresh air." Nice in theory, but it is getting dark, and with the wind chill is probably 20 degrees. Too cold for this lazy girl's butt. Besides, who wouldn't want to walk/run in the comfort of their warm home and steal an hour of frivilous no-news allowed t.v. watching? I drive by all the brave women running outside and I think, "you are a greater woman than I." The cushie gym we joined last summer, well, I might go if it wasn't 20 minutes away, but who can spare 40 minutes of driving AND an hour workout? I find myself saying, "honey, I need to go workout, watch the kids"....do I want to workout? NO. Do I want an hour to myself with no other obligations? YES. Honestly, I think I might even be starting to work up a sweat now (incline baby, incline).
As a side note, I'm wearing my Hard Tail yoga pants and sports tank...I wasn't joking when I said I wear these ALL the time. Signed, ME {lv}
