Margaret O'Leary: She does some great sweaters for fall, and her usual out -of-this world cashmere. This year the styles were classic (at least the ones I thought looked the best), but the colors were fantastic and really "popped"--colors like "green tea", aqua and teal.
James Perse: My favorite was a long belted button front coat in his really neat heavy jersey fabric. Another favorite was a sueded jersey tee with weathered (destroyed) edging. The colors were very netural, a lot of charcoal, and deep browns. His cashmere looked nice, but it was really pricey.
Liquid: We've carried this line before and I was wowed for fall. Great jackets are coming starting as early as July and they are good enough you'll want to snatch them up even this early. I also thought they did a beautiful tab over trouser, the silhouette was classic but updated and perfect for fall.
Citizens: Wide legs were a popular and important silhouette. There were skinny leg jeans still popping up, but the strength was really in high waisted jeans and skirts, and the wide leg jeans. They've had huge success with their higher rise Amber jean and it is a strong jean going forward! The BIG news is that their fantastic sweatshirts that they do are stronger than ever, AND they have managed to lower the price by changing manufacturers so now they are in the $125-$140 price range instead of $190-$220 range!
Sevens: I was actually surprised at how "forward" Sevens looked. There was a ton of black and grey denim, really high waisted styles, and really wide leg styles and of course more skinny, skinny legged jeans. I thought there were a lot of styles that most of us wouldn't wear (or couldn't wear), a little "too forward", but I did find some really strong styles that I loved. I felt like some of the black and grey denim was a little stiff, so I didn't gravitate toward it.
