I have a girlfriend who is a business writer, and she told me how she happened to be sitting next to the owner of the company "Burt's Bees", at some conference. Anyway, she had been convinced by this woman that her particular skin (delicate, and the subject of an early 30's smoker) needed Carrot Nutritive Night Creme slathered on her face every night to repair. Anyway, my friend tried it and liked it and was explaining the benefits to me.....and I tried it and liked it and will likewise pass on my discovery. First, the cream is CHEAP...maybe $14 for a little jar. Definitely not my Creme de la Mer prices. It is sort of a dark yellow color, like honey and smells sort of like honey and carrots, and when you put it on the skin it has an orange-ish tint. It has a consistency like thick vaseline....sort of greasy and doesn't really soak into your skin, but sits on it and makes you feel like a grease ball. Anyway, I was skeptical, but I covered my face in it, put a towel on my pillow (didn't want all that orangey stuff on my pillowcase) and woke up to find that my face was still a bit greasy and so was my hair. BUT...after a shower and a face wash, I will admit that my face felt pretty nice....sort of plumped out if you will. Some of that stuff must have actually penetrated and done some work. I don't use it everynight (too messy), but when I'm feeling really dry I use it! It also is a great under eye cream because it really gets rid of those fine lines (if only by filling them with grease)....I just pat it with a tissue afterwards and powerder and it looks great.
