June market is notoriously our time to start searching for great handbags...the last apparel show was so busy there just wasn't that much time although some of you might remember I did rave about one line (Urban Junket) that I loved. Anyway, this market we had time to search a little deeper and here is what we found....
SEVEN for all Mankind has started a handbag line!!!! I saw it last market when it was still quite small and I held off ordering it, but it is quite a large line now and looked GORGEOUS. My personal favorite was a patent leather grey bag that was big enough to carry all the time and casual enough to pull off daily. The leathers they used were really wonderful and each bag was different enough to be distinct, but still wearable. The prices were between $350-500, and they really looked like expensive bags.....each had some little "Sevens labeling" on it, but nothing that was too "brand stamped" or on display (subtle in other words).
SHIH: This was a line we found and were instantly in love with. We only ordered one style, in 3 colors, so that should tell you how much we loved it. The entire line was amazing, many other bags we loved weren't available when we needed them, but we can't wait to check out the line again in August.
LODIS: Many of you have seen this line before....they do small leather goods like wallets, clutches, card holders, etc. I atually have never seen it look as amazing as when we saw it this market, it is beyond fab. We did a ton, so there will be loads of great punchy colors to choose from like shiny teal alligator, and this swirly peacock print that I was personally mad-crazy for. These are wonderful accessories to pair with you classic brown/black bags, or you LBD (little black dress) for a little pop of color.
MR. FUNKY & BOHO: We found these cuties in the same showroom and snapped them up right away. Cute little narrow crochet scarves with a crochet flower that you slip onto the scarf to hold it in place and make an accent at your neck (or somewhere). They were adorable, and would make the best gift. We also found super fingerless gloves that we loved in novel (but still mellow enough to wear all the time) styles.
SHAWLS: We ordered a ton of these scarves in every color under the sun. Kind of hard to describe, these were a wide shawl type scarf in a wool--but lightweight, not itchy at all-- and the prints were these swirly, semi paisley designs that were really eye catching. The colors were equally wonderful....little bits of snappy colors like turquoise, lilac and orange (respectively), but mixed with tons of other colors. Sorry, the description is going to leave you "huh??" but trust me, they are great and will be wonderful with your simple winter coats.
