So, thought I 'd talk about some of my favorite sweaters! Lets start with my FAVORITE. We found this new sweater from Inhabit (one of my new favorite lines for fall), and it is a very simple cashmere cardigan silhouette, with thumbholes. Now, it may be a bit hard to imagine, but the sleeves basically come down a little longer, and cover the bottom of your hand and there is a built in hole for your thumb to slide through so it stays in place. I absolutely LOVE the look, fresh and different, but on a simple classic silhouette. The cashmere was divine and this is one piece that I decided I couldn't live without--in TWO colors for sure!
We also found new sweaters from a line called Tululah. In particular was a luxurious cashmere blend sweater in this amazing deep lilac/purple color. It was tunic length (maybe even a little longer--car coat length), with a hoodie, and one oversized button closing the front. GORGEOUS. In this same showroom we also found cashmere for babies (the line is actually called Under though), and we couldn't resist the one button cardigan in baby pink and violet, and the onesie in baby pink, blue and green--what an indulgent little treat for the cherub!
Bernadette Conte had some beautiful sweaters too, and the colors that she does are always wonderful. In particular was a gorgeous crimson sweater in the September group, and a light grey cardigan in the October group that had the most amazing little onyx buttons.
Another new line of sweaters for us was Twig. They did some gorgeous tunic length sweaters in October that we fell in love with. For example, an amazing red, with ruffled sleeveless arms, and a keyhole opening...won't that be fun to layer over a charcoal long sleeved tee?
We're bringing Lauren Hansen back again this year for more cashmere sweaters. There were some great simple silhouettes (and you'll remember her fabulous prices), and the colors were positively yummy (in particular I fell in love with this sherbert pink waffle knit cashmere sweater).
