I love the little reminders we get that validate our indulgences :-). Yesterday our weather had a turn and it was significantly cooler and very rainy. I had short sleeves on and felt a little bare....so what did I pull out of my closet you ask? I whipped out a Beth Bowley coat, circa 2004 I think, and wore it to my meeting. It looked great (I still love that coat) and it managed to solicite two compliments in the short time I wore it (the rain and cool weather was gone by afternoon thankfully)! Anyway, it reminded me that good pieces stay good a LONG time....those jackets that have something special about them and a relatively classic silhouette will be in your closet for ages and will always look good. I remember pondering whether I really "needed" this jacket when I bought it years ago--and I definitely remember pondering the price. The silhouette is simple, but the detailing is punchy and color is bright...it makes a statement without being over the top. Lucky for me I did indulge back then and now I continue to love it years later. Signed, ME {lv}
