I have to post about this, because it is truly funny, albeit totally random. In my organization quest, of which my neurosis I've made public, I made my way to the beloved Container Store and bought some new clear tupperware to store all our "medicinal" type stuff in. We had everything in two plastic bins as it was, and it was a little hard to dig through to find what you need (ie the nasal spray was in with the baby asprin etc.). So, obsessive me bought 4 new bins with matching tops (among lots of other crap I probably didn't need from that store). I got home, spread everything out, took the medicines out and organized it such that Martha Stewart would be proud....complete with labels from the label maker. So, then I go to put the tops on the 4 bins, very pleased with my job, and AAAAHHHHH, one of my lids didn't fit. I was totally thrown off....."crap, did I buy the wrong size, I must have, I'm such an idiot, now I have to go back and get the right one...they have to have matching lids...damn, should I drive there in rush hour traffic, no, that is crazy...but I really want this done. Can't believe I did that, the kids must have been screaming in my ear, crap why can't anything be easy." My internal dialogue lasted about a solid 5 minutes in which I was distraught and consumed by how to fix my problem which although a grain of sand on the richter scale of issues, seemed big at the time. Then I looked down...and realized that I had tried to put the old lid from the old bin onto the new bin....in fact the correct lid was there all the while. Elation, and then total disgust at my manic behavior :-). Signed, ME {lv in need of therapy STAT}
