Can you believe what some people will say?

Have you ever met  someone, or heard a comment where you think to yourself, "I can NOT believe that person just said that."  It happens every once in awhile and it is always something that I think would have to seem so ridiculously obvious as something a person shouldn't say that I can't believe it escaped their lips.  Example, my husband had dinner at a co-worker's house and they were speaking with each other about some new female employee and the wife of the co-worker said, "is she pretty?"  To which my husband said, "sounds like something my wife would ask."   Her response...."well, I normally don't ask that because very few people are prettier than I am so I don't worry about my husband's actions around other women."  SHE ACTUALLY SAID THAT OUT LOUD!!!  There are some things that you might think in your head, I totally get that, but you just sound stupid if you say them out loud.  Or there was the time that my good friend said to me with a deadpan straight face, "you know, people tell me my daughter is beautiful, not just cute, they actually tell me she is beautiful. (emphatic emphasis)"  I can't imagine EVER saying something so boastful even if I thought it 100 times over (and lets face it, we ALL think our child is the most gorgeous thing on the planet).  There is no point to this blog other than to just make note of the fact that people can say some shocking stuff and I seriously wonder why they aren't embarassed!!???  If you say things like this, stop immediately :-).  Signed, ME {lv}
