78 Summers

The average person has 78 summers in a lifetime.  78.  That is it...if you are really, really lucky and get that many at all.  I'm reading a book right now that pointed this fact out in passing, and it has stuck with me the last few days so I thought I would share it.  The point wasn't pertaining to summers specifically, it gives a "number" to all sorts of things in our life.  A finite number to everything that you are doing....from the mundane things like dinner at home, to the special things like tropical vacations.  I don't know, when you put it in specific terms like this you realize that really, you don't HAVE endless summers, and you don't have endless vacations, or movie nights with the kids, or date nights with the spouse....there is a number you get, and even if all the stars align and it is the highest number possible, it STILL isn't all that many.  So enjoy my friends, enjoy this summer....make it a memorable one of your 78!  Signed, ME {lv}
