Does anyone remember the turtlenecks in the early 1980's? I guess I would have been in middle school back then...something like that. All I remember is turtenecks with every printed thing imaginable on them. There were t-necks with ducks, with frogs, with stars, with dots, with umbrellas....everything miniaturized and plopped onto a nice hefty cotton turtleneck. I remember walking into a department store and literally seeing rounder after rounder of different styles. WOW, scary huh? I think I wore them under rugbys, and they were probably oversized.
I'm pondering all this as I size up the newest turtleneck from James Perse which is a little bit of perfection. Stretch cotton, thin layering fabric that is body conscious, yet not too tight. The neck isn't too fitted, and not too stretch out. I want one in every color...especially the new, fresh white color.
You've come a long way Mr. Turtleneck. Signed, ME {lv}
You are talking to the owner of someone who used to have a whale print and reindeer print tneck! (2 different shirts; these animals did not "co-mingle" on one shirt! :-) I love tnecks--they are wonderful to layer with and are classic, go with everything.
