For our Christmas/holiday decor we needed to collect a LOT of birdcages, so I've been scouring the antique stores for the last couple of months. On one such hunting expedition I came across this dress which I snatched up for a cool $25. I thought I would post a pic so you can see how lovely it is (ignore the wrinkles)...a cool dark pea soup color, with a triple layer skirt (it has a nice crunchy tulle slip). I love the retro style, with the belted natural waist, and slightly puffy skirt. It actually fits me nearly perfect, with the exception of the bust being a bit big. I'm not quite sure how the women in the '50's had such tiny waists and such huge bustlines. I'm going to assume those pointed bras they wore added a cup size! Signed, ME {lv}
cool,
Now just get a nice Antique
http://anapple.110mb.com/extra-golden/ bar or something and you'll be stylin'.
You're right, it does fit quite nice.
Isn't it nice when that happens.
