I've decided to make 2011 MY year. What does that mean exactly? Good question, I'm still working out the details, but here is what I know:
1. I turn 40 this year (no escaping that one).
2. I'm officially done having babies. So while Romeo is only 5 weeks old, I'm accepting the fact that I'm no longer going to be able to use pregnancy as an excuse for not being in the best shape of my life (I have really maxed out that excuse thru the years).
3. The demands on me will be big this year between kids, work, and everything else, and I need a strategy for taking care of myself so I can take care of everyone else.
I don't want to make a big long list of resolutions that run the risk of being "broken promises", so I think I'm just going to make a general "concept" my resolution. This next year I will make MY year. I will take care of myself, I will enjoy my blessings, I will look as good as possible and feel as good as I look. I will do things that make me happy, and surround myself with as much joy and love as possible. It sounds selfish (lots of "me" in there), but isn't because when you feel good, and are strong physically and mentally, then you are prepared to really tackle the demands of being a woman, and being a nurturer of others (whether it is children, friendships, or relationships).
I hope everyone finds what they need in 2011...what they need to be happy, strong, beautiful, loved and empowered.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Signed, ME {lv}
