I absolutely love a Sunday morning. Even a bustling city, usually so frantic just the night before seems like a different world on a sunday morning. Somewhere in the wee hours the rowdy nightlife went to bed, and the quietness of pre-dawn seems to cleanse the world.
If you're a morning person like I am it is the perfect time to take a walk, anywhere you like, without the stress and hustle of the afternoon. There is peace, and serenity, and no lines at the bakery! It's one of the only times throughout the entire week that you can call your city your own.
The Mr. and I went for an early morning stair walk in Northwest Portland. There are many old, mostly hidden stairs leading up the steep slopes of northwest. They are beautiful stone steps, mossy and lined with old trees and stunning historic homes with spectacular views. We must have made it pretty high to reach the corner of "Summit adn Summit".
Time for a break! A loving cafe sign invited us to sit, and take it all in.
