Let me be clear. This is NOT my bootie, or my pair of bootie shorts. This is however, the tale of my latest bootie short acquisition. First, let me explain my latest accomplishment. I have started to exercise, for real. I wish it was yoga, or something cool, like Zumba, or boxing. But no. I have just finished week 5 of P90...which is the wimpy cousin of PX90. If you have insomnia, or like late night television, you may have seen the advertisement for PX90 or it's brother from another mother-- the Insanity workout. What can I say. It's not my favorite thing in the world for sure, but it's pretty effective because if it's one thing I've figured out, when it comes to exercise, I like a start, stop time, and very definitive program because I really don't want to do anything at all so I like to know exactly when it's going to end and exactly how I'm measuring up comparatively. So I have muscled thru this dorky video series with Tony what's-his-name, and can honestly say I have seen some body strength improvement. I can. Offiicially. Now do a pushup. Illogical grammar used for dramatic impact.
In comes the bootie shorts. I have owned Hard Tail bootie shorts before, but I've only ever slept in them....essentially used them like boyshort underwear. I have to say, upon buying a new pair, I realized they are even SMALLER than I remembered. So small they'd get lost in my underwear drawer. I might find my granny panties reserved for "those days" faster than the bootie shorts. They are, in fact, small bootie size. They are my new inspiration though, because I really, really, REALLY want to actually be able to wear them, AND look good in them. I wore them to do my workout the other day, and I will say, it made me work out harder. I won't be wearing them in public any time soon, but they were worth every dime because there's no hiding anything in the bootie shorts and in the comfort of the garage...with just me, Tony and my bootie, well....they work wonders as a workout motivator. All of a sudden that last lunge seemed o-so-necessary. As if I didn't already realize.
