I thought I would share how super-fantabulous Eileen Fisher resort looked, and some of the styles that we put on order list! Resort covers the November-February orders (which means it'll be here the end of October which is really just around the corner)! Here's the lowdown on October & November first....
November: The key colors are lacquer red, charcoal and chicory (which is that combo between golden green and chartreuse). Some of my favorite pieces were there Supersoft Yak & Merino Stripe Turtleneck Poncho--total show stopper poncho, with black and charcoal stripes detailing the waist ($348). Another expensive, but "wow" piece was the Boiled Wool Funnel Neck Zip Poncho in charcoal--it's WOW, which is good because it's also expensive ($468). It's something you'd have forever though, a really rich piece.
I also fell in love with some Viscose Stretch Ponte Skinny Pant With Back Zipper-- pants with zippers at the back of the calves ($228), and the a Mineral Washed Velveteen Skinny Jean in charcoal (very washed and soft--and not overly "velveteen" so it'll carry all the way thru winter and early spring). ($248)
Also loved the Plainted Mohair Jewel Neck Tunic in chicory. ($218) It's something you'd wear with leggings, and it's this luscious chicory color in this semi-see thru mohair knit. BUT, the top half of the sweater, and partial sleeves has a charcoal color under it, so it's not see-thru and gives the sweater a super cool look. Would be a great sweater to wear to a casual dinner party with leggings and heeled short boots.
On of my personal favs was the Mohair Metallic Sheen Ballet Neck Pullover ($258) in this gorgeous black gold (basically bronze) color...super rich (and there is a black gold shimmer tank that works perfectly under it). This could be a "wow" piece to make your holiday outfits come together.
Not to be forgotten, a Viscose Jersey Lace Bateau Neck black dress with lace across the shoulders and down the sleeves. It's very beautiful, classic, sophisticated, yet still easy to wear.($258) Haven't seen anything like it from Eileen before!
This is also the delivery for gorgeous, GORGEOUS accessories....scarves that are amazing, and necklaces (this beaded wrap necklace that I'm in love with)! This will be a fantastic month to find gifts!
December: In terms of color, it truthfully was a pretty dark delivery....lots of great charcoal pieces, little color though. I pulled in some gorgeous Artic Green and Tumeric in an Organic Linen Jersey Melange Pullover ($178), and a Linen Cotton Slub V-Neck Pullover in deep sky (a lovely royal blue) ($158). I felt like those were a fun place to do colors, and it could be a wear now piece (throw on layering tee beneath it for warmth) that would carry nicely into January, February and March.
Key new pieces were the Washable Wool & Linen Blurred Stripes Cardigan ($258) and the Cozy Viscose Stretch Knit Hooded Poncho Top ($338). You are probably noticing the poncho trend at EF. They are great though, you'll want one...only question is which one :-)!
More on January & February...stay tuned!
