Day 7, that officially makes this the last day of the week. Which seems like a serious accomplishment (except I have 9 weeks to go which seems like a long time). I just looked at the lesson plans for the next 9 weeks and almost had a heart attack....better plan might be to take one week at a time.
I went to class today. My body is starting to feel a bit sore, but in a good way. The teacher today was slow and did such a great job of explaining every tiny adjustment. Plus she has the best voice....super soothing and sultry. That could be a real barrier to being a good teacher--if you had an annoying speaking voice. That could be me actually.
I'm ready for Friday, except that Friday is actually the START of the yoga week and I'll have class from 6:00-9:30, and then 1/2 day Saturday and Sunday. So my usual Friday night mode of "fall into a puddle after eating take out and mindlessly watch t.v until I pass out" --I have to completely erase that from my mind. Plus, we're all on deck tomorrow for what sounds like a hideously stressful "round robin" of the first 8 poses. Meaning, they start the class, and call out everyones' name randomly, to come up in front of the class of 25 and teach whatever particular pose we happen to be working on during that moment. I'll be excited when that part is over.
I feel good though, tired, but good. Hope everyone who is trying to fit in their yoga class, or walk, or run....or whatever soulful physical activity deemed worthy of your time, I hope it has energized you this week! The sun is going to be out all weekend and I can feel it making the world happier.
