Today's call to action is simple. Make someone's day. Usually that's not nearly as hard to do as you'd think. I think someone telling me I looked 10 years younger would make my day. A person buying me a latte....that would make my day. One of my friends calling me to tell me I was great---definitely a day maker. It's simple, and throwing a little love out in the world the day before Thanksgiving is a good thing.
Random things to love...Cook's Illustrated. I've now spent more time than I care to admit, salivating over the pics and picking out things to cook tomorrow. It's a great magazine, which we've gotten for year, but I've never really spent any time on their site. It's great....and I'm definitely making this acorn maple glazed squash!
My yoga wisdom today was the phrase, 'just when you want out of the pose, that's when the practice begins". The instructor linked this to the bigger meaning, off the yoga mat. Life is easy, until it's not and the second it's not easy, or uncomfortable, that's when the real "practice" begins. What's the practice? All the things that you need to do to be mindful, thoughtful, patient with yourself, aware, brave, kind....the list goes on. I thought that was a great---it's all easy until it's not, and THAT is when you are tested to utilize your skills. Hard class, lots of poses held long enough to let the practice begin.
Some great new Hard Tail tees have arrived (amazing honey and. plum colors in particular and speaking to me...although concrete is such a good foundational color), and darling Prairie Underground styles!
