Love Amanda's great real life example of her gratitude epiphany at the gas station.....such a good moment, when you stop taking for granted all those basic luxuries we enjoy. We tend to be more thankful for the bigger things, and I'm guessing most of us haven't specifically appreciated being able to put gas in our tanks, but it's luxuries like that, or being able to buy the groceries you want, or go to the doctor when you need to. They become the norm, the baseline and you almost forget that they absolutely aren't the norm for everyone. Blessed we are.
Paper clay and pears, I won't leave you hanging. This is part of my Thanksgiving table decor "vision". I am creating individual paper clay pears for each place setting with a different word stamped into it. There are 12 adults at the main table, 6 couples and if I arrange it right, each couple will go home with two pears with words that flow together. In the middle of the table will be greenery, candles, pomegranates and more pears. That's as far as I've gotten. I got a little hung up on the pears and then didn't finish the concept....but aren't they darling?
Happy Friday!
