So a little over a year ago, I got a horse, remember that? Along with my new horse named Zinc came an obsession - I thought I was obsessed before, but the last year has taught me a lot, I've been pushed so far out of my comfort zone and done things I never even came close to thinking I could do, but one of the many things I've learned is that I wasn't nearly as obsessed as I am now. ;)
All of that to say, my horse has a chiropractor that visits regularly. I know, I know. Hold your judgements in...its a lot to process. haha. Horses are truly athletes - its so crazy the stuff they do while running thru the pasture, and the stuff I make him do when we're working together. It only makes sense that they would need an adjustment here and there, right? I mean, I lift a "heavy" box and then fall asleep on the couch in an awkward position, and I call my chiropractor the next day. It only seems right that I do the same for my horse. And, if you've never seen a horse have an adjustment, it is SO cool. Absolutely fascinating the things they can do and the knowledge they have.
ANYWAYS, my horse chiropractor visited Zinc this week and the chiropractor was telling me stories about crazy things he's seen in his career and we started talking about animal communicators and equine communicators. Again, I know its out there - people are usually very hot or cold about this sort of thing - but we're already talking about chiropractic care for horses, so I feel like we're halfway there. ;) He was telling me about this one barn he was out working on a horse at, and in the stall next to his patient, there was another horse and owner that had an appointment with an equine communicator at the same time. She was expressing that her horse was totally fine, and then the next day a complete terror. She had worked with her for a while trying to work thru whatever the issue was, but nothing was working. The horse communicator did her thing, and then said, that her horse had seen something happen outside of her stall one night that completely traumatized her (the horse). The woman asked if she know what it was, and the communicator asked if her husband and her had sex in the barn outside of the stall. She said yes!!! Apparently, it was too much for the horse to handle, and completely traumatized her.
The communicator gave some tips on how to work thru the issue - but how crazy is that?!? I mean, all of it!! I'm not entirely sure of my stance on the whole thing, but you can't just take a stab in the dark on something like that. You could ask if the food or environment has changed...you can throw things like that out, and something is going to stick, but you can't just throw that out (sex in the barn) and then be right!! I have so many questions, most of which I don't want answers to (like who are those über passionate people who got wild in the horse stable--which might happen in the movies but in real life??) Believe in it or not, this is an actual story observed first hand, so I guess I can't argue with that.
I'll just leave you with that for now, and hopefully you had a good laugh or at least a smile if nothing else.
Signed, ME {AT}
