I blame the coronavirus for the fact that I woke up this morning convinced it was Thursday, but really it was Friday. It was not a good feeling. I blame coronavirus for all kinds of things right now, BUT I can't blame coronavirus for the following.
For months now John and I have been talking about our 25th wedding anniversary, which is coming up on March 30th. We had all kinds of plans originally. Maybe we'd go back to our honeymoon destination (Ireland). Or maybe we should do a bonding yoga retreat together? We brainstormed matching tattoos, or maybe having a big dinner party. Recently with the state of lockdown, we realized none of those things would happen so we came up with brand new indulgence. Let's get a Peloton. YES, it's expensive, but after all it's a big anniversary and this will be something we can both use a ton (probably the kids too). OK, done, we have a plan! We ordered the Peloton and were super excited. Then I got on the phone with my best friend who I've known since I was 13. I told her what we had bought for our "big" anniversary, and her response? "Uhm, you were married in 1996, I'm pretty sure it's your 24th anniversary."
Turns out she is right. Yep, for whatever reason, I have no idea why, both John and I were absolutely convinced that it was our 25th. Yeah, for real. I can't blame coronavirus for my bad math or poor memory. Darn.
Hope everyone is keenly aware that tomorrow is Saturday--it's the weekend! Have fun!
Signed, ME {lv}
