I'm reminded this week that less can be more. I've been off my regular yoga schedule--no hot yoga until my brows are cemented down. So I've been taking a mixture of slow flow classes, and this morning I did a slow restorative meditation yoga class. First I will say, it takes some mental flexibility for me to change things up, I am so married to my routine (which I love) that going outside of it throws me off more than it should.
What I will say, as I've gone thru my "new" week is that it's been really nice. My regular classes are really physically demanding, and they are so dang hot. They feel intense, always. Sometimes though, less is more, and I feel like I've gotten so much out of going at a slower, less intense, and more reflective pace. The stranger thing? I've been SORE and it's like I took harder classes, but they were harder in new, softer ways (which apparently still made me sore).
On a new stuff note, I'm crazy for the little dainty rings from Jennifer Cervelli. They come in gold, rose gold and silver, and they are wonderful solo but also stacked up. I love the idea of making a wish and putting on the ring....three rings, three wishes. When my brother in law (years and years ago), wanted to propose and used the excuse he had no money to buy a ring for the reason he wasn't doing it (not really the reason), I tried to convince him to buy these rings and pledge three romantic things to my sister (like I promise to love you forever, support your soul, and rug your feet when your tired....or
whatever). For the record, he didn't use my good idea. Can't remember what he did, but it wasn't nearly as good...not even close.
Oh, and I ALSO love the long Salt + Slate necklaces!! How awesome is that going to look with a simple white
tank and white linen pants?? Also super cute wrapped around the wrist!!
