We just got back from four amazing weeks in Greece. We were in Athens, Nafplio, Crete and Paros. I have officially cultivated a Greek cheese belly, which means I ate my weight in delicious Greek cheese, and then had about 100,00 glasses of wine and devoured as many olives as I could eat, It's so hard to come back and spend $10 on a small little container of speciality olives when I was able to hit the farmer's market there and get huge bags of olives for 2 euros. The food and the people won me over for sure. I'm not a fan of the heat, I'll admit that part is always hard for me, but when you are bombarded by the Greek kindness, and the Greek cheese, you can overlook the heat. It was pretty devine all around.
I felt like it would be a good time (since we just got a nice big juicy Ori London shipment in), to talk about the true love of my Greece trip,
my Ori London scooter bag. I took that thing EVERYWHERE with me. Literally. It was the perfect size to throw in all the essentials, which included sunblock, sunglasses, tylenol, bandaids, hand sanitizer....you get the drift, basically a crap ton of stuff so that I could serve as the "store" to which my kids could shop for all things. I have a headache. I've got a blister. I forgot to put sunblock on. I just touched a strange animal and now want to eat a gyro with my hands. Yep, that bag packed all the necessities that any one of them could need.
I had bought bright yellow because it was fun and made me smile (and was SO summerish). It got dirty though by the end of our four week trip, and I was a little nervous to wash it. However, I'm happy to testify to the fact that it washes great, and it came out looking perfectly new. I washed it on warm, with detergent and just laid it out to dry. Honestly, hands down my favorite hands free travel purse/bag/catchall EVER.
I also bought two of the backpacks. That's right TWO. In grey and hot pink. I took the grey one as my computer backpack carrying on and it was again, pretty much perfect. It has enough padding for the laptop that I didn't need a sleeve. It has two main compartments, and then a zip compartment inside which was nice, and then of course the outside zip compartment which is super useful for the things you reach for all the time. It was comfortable to wear, and I felt like it was the perfect size--not so big that I felt like a pack horse, but not so small that I couldn't fit everything in.
Basically, it was Ori London all the way this year. I can't wait to bust out my bright pink one for school in the fall (and it finally will be IN person and I can't wait)! If you haven't taken the plunge and grabbed one of these bags for yourself, you should--you will not be sorry!
